The Juicy Ball Origin Story

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be here — building a Juicy Ball empire with a community of absolute legends cheering me on.

But here we are.

I’ve always had a serious sweet tooth (the kind that refuses to be ignored). During lockdown — when baking became everyone’s personality — I was in the kitchen non-stop, experimenting for fun and sanity. What started as “just another batch” turned into something more when I began playing around with simple, wholesome ingredients: vegan chocolate, organic dates, hazelnuts, peanut butter… the good stuff.

Then came the taste test.

My husband tried my first ever Juicy Ball and his reaction said it all. No polite nod. No fake enthusiasm. Just wide-eyed, “You’ve done something here” energy. And in that moment, I knew — this wasn’t just a snack. This was a thing.

From Run Club to Real Life 

I started bringing the balls to my run club (purely for sharing… at first). But before I knew it, people were asking:

“Where did you buy these?”

Cue nerves. Cue self-doubt. Cue friends and family hyping me up until I finally listened.

With a shaky but determined “why not?”, I pitched my favourite local coffee spot — Rise at the Cove — and just like that, my Juicy Balls were on the counter instead of just in my kitchen.

And then things snowballed.

Demand grew. Confidence followed. One yes led to another. And suddenly, this little lockdown experiment became something very real.
